New York, NY, December 2nd, 2005 – Being two of the most talked about organizations in the Jewish community, it only made sense for SawYouAtSinai and Nefesh B’Nefesh to synergize, as they co-sponsored an event for Aliyah minded singles on Thursday, December 1.

“SawYouAtSinai is a well connected organization, and there are a lot of people who are interested in making Aliyah,” explained Ari Schuchman, Associate Director of Overseas Programs for Nefesh B’Nefesh. “They have the resources, and we have the know-how,” he said, stating that SawYouAtSinai is involved with thousands of singles and has the ability to provide support systems for singles who are looking to make Aliyah, making their dreams a reality.

“When people go to Israel, they may be leaving behind their extensive network of contacts and friends. SawYouAtSinai helps them connect,” comments Danielle Jacobs, the head of Public Relations for SawYouAtSinai. “And it is free in Israel!”

The small candlelit room in which the event took place gave the nearly 200 participants a warm and friendly feeling. The welcoming face of Dyonna Ginsburg, Director of Yavneh Olami, greeted all those who attended the event. There was a brief video presentation about the role Nefesh B’Nefesh plays in assisting people in making Aliyah. People were informed about Aliyah, while meeting new people with similar ideals and eating good food.

“SawYouAtSinai is a tremendous organization,” says Tom Weiss, who has been on three Nefesh B’Nefesh flights. “Together SawYouAtSinai and Nefesh B’Nefesh benefit Jewish American Singles. It enables singles with the desire to make Aliyah to realize they do not have to do it alone. Those who have already made Aliyah now have a way to meet eachother!”
