Press Releases » SAWYOUATSINAI PARTNERS WITH YESHIVA UNIVERSITY TO LAUNCH NEW DATING SITE - SYAS Continues it’s Goal to Connect Like-Minded Singles Through YUConnects.com

New York, NY – June 16, 2008 – SawYouAtSinai recently partnered with Yeshiva University to launch the new dating site YUConnects.com. Sponsored by the Center for the Jewish Future, the new site is open to all Yeshiva College, Stern College for Women, and Sy Syms School of Business undergraduates and alumni.

YUConnects is a program which features activities and events designed to facilitate meeting opportunities and networking. Partnering with online Jewish matchmaking service SawYouAtSinai provides members of the YU community with the benefits of SawYouAtSinai technology, the ability to have YU selected matchmakers known as “Connectors”, and the capacity for YUConnects singles to be set-up with SawYouAtSinai singles.

“We are very excited about this new partnership” Danielle Solomon, Director of Marketing at SawYouatSinai said. “We aim to provide the best medium for all types of Jewish singles to meet… We are a community driven organization and the new site allows us to really reach out to the YU community” she said. SawYouAtSinai is constantly expanding its services to serve the entire Jewish community. To date, more than 600 people have met their matches through SawYouAtSinai.

The benefit of creating an insular site for the YU community is that it allows for extra personalization. Singles can form a relationship with Connectors by going to their homes for Shabbat, meeting with them one-on-one, or logging into their profiles on the website.

To create the best possible matches, YUConnects will create opportunities for face-to-face encounters between singles and with matchmakers. Connectors will be trained to facilitate successful interactions.

“It brings the YU and matchmaking communities together” said Brittney Ricklis, a student at Yeshiva University, about the new alliance. “It makes sense since the same goal – to further the Jewish future - unites the two organizations”. The goal of the partnership, to enable singles to meet and form relationships in a comfortable and healthy way, is a crucial first step in the Center for the Jewish Future’s mission to build “strong and vibrant communities”.

The affiliation between SawYouAtSinai and YUConnects will go beyond the internet. For the first time, YUConnects will be co-sponsoring this year’s SawYouAtSinai annual Shabbos Nachamu weekend on August 15th – 17th. SawYouAtSinai boasts 14 successful matches from previous weekends.
