I'm delighted to announce our very first Shabbaton in Israel!
WHEN: Shabbat weekend, May 7-8, 2010

As always, ETM Shabbatons are a great opportunity to make new friends and enjoy Shabbos in a warm community. This Shabbaton will be hosted by two shuls in the community of Modi'in, Yakir Efraim and Mercaz Modi'in. There are only 48 spots available for this event, 24 men and 24 women, so if you are interested in joining us I urge you to request a reservation immediately -- those who wait until the last minute will be disappointed.
This Shabbaton will follow the successful format of dozens of ETM Shabbatons in North America over the last 7 years. Housing and meals will be with local families, with the typical meal having 6 Shabbaton participants in addition to whomever else the family may invite. Friday night there will be an Oneg at one of the host shuls, and there will be additional programming Shabbos afternoon (to be announced). Motzei Shabbos there will be a Melava Malka (still to be determined), but there's a good bet it will be pizza and a fun night out at one of the local pool places (no additional cost for Shabbaton participants!).
As noted, there is very limited room for this event -- only 48 friendly, halacha-observant singles will be able to attend. Reservations are subject to approval and must be pre-paid.

About Steven
A native of Long Beach, California, Steven Alevy lives today on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. He credits his parents Allen and Deanna, with instilling his deep Ahavath Israel and responsibility to his fellow man.
Steven and & his family founded the Alevy Foundation in CA. They are involved in helping support a number of organizations that contribute to the building and strengthening of the Jewish community.
Steven and the Alevy family have now sponsored numerous SawYouAtSinai events and weekends. We are grateful for all he has done for SYAS and Klal Yisrael.
He is Managing Director of Bankers Capital Realty Advisors which is located in Manhattan.
